Drink Up!

Post by Trobador222 »

It's a vodka night here at my house. I dont drink when I am out on the road. But when I am home, I have a few. Really a lot less than I used too even. But I am just over all the shit. A musician friend on FB died of COVID. Marty might have known him Bill MacKechnie. He was one of those people who was just a good guy. He was early on the internet with his music and spent a lot of time helping other musicians get connected and get heard. There is a guy who is a pretty good blues guitarist in the circle I was in with him. After Bill died, the blues guitarist told me, Bill sent him a custom built guitar. Out of the blue, for free. Bill built them.

After I recently got back into making electronic music, I started a Bandcamp account and put up an album for laughs. Bill bought one of my albums. I used to joke with him he was the only person on FB to listen to my stuff.

The tragic irony is, he caught COVID after the vaccine was available, but before it was available to the general public. He had a band he was in involved in for years. Prog Rock outfit called Anubis Spire. He was the guitarist/song writer and vocalist.https://soundcloud.com/anubisspire

So here's to Bill.He also had a great sense of humor. You guys would have liked him. I'm getting drunk!

Yeah I agree people have to be accountable for the horrific trends of mass deaths because of Covid, I doubt anyone will stand up and say we failed you, I reckon I would feel exactly like you if I lost someone close and as influential as that, prey things get better - people have to stand up and take responsibly, I think so! Enjoy your evening, with some of your favourite drinks. :8=8:

Sorry, hnry. I've been lucky so far. COVID has not hit close. this week marks one year since I contracted the shit.
I would have thought that with the available treatments your friend could have made it through.

I was told he had asthma in a severe way. I want to say he was mid 60s in age. It affects some people a lot differently than it does others. When my daughter had it, it was like a mild case of the flu and she had no lasting problems after getting over it.
