nu shite

Post by Citizen Dolly »

So I did a whole EP just using the Korg NTS-1 for all the bits except the drums. I'm not happy with it but might as well dump a link here if you want to listen.

Tracklist:

1: A Wildly Misleading Introduction
2: Dolls In The Window
3: Attercop
4: Unravel
5: Glad It's Over

That little synth at the end had a nice sax sound. So why are you not happy? I dont know anything about the limits of the synth. It seems to lack an overall depth of sound. It's not bad, just kind of like something made on something with it's own sound and that's what you get. This is that little synth you bought not long ago, right? I know some of the older stuff back in the day had their own characteristics. Like the old video game theme stuff. Anyway, comp wise, it is above average. Catchy like your stuff normally is.

Enjoyed! The intro was probably my fav, but it felt a little misleading as an intro to the tone and feel of the rest. Oh, wait...

1: A Wildly Misleading Introduction:
A nice film kind of an intro.

2: Dolls In The Window:
Reminds me of the game-music of the Command & Conquer, which is a good thing. Cool drum and synth-work.

3: Attercop:
Nice drum-fx bursts here n there. The sub-bass works well in this. Cool synths too.

4: Unravel:
Liking the kick sound. Nice chords. The lead melodies were a bit hypnotic.

5: Glad It's Over:
This tune is probably my fave of this EP. You have put lots of variations into the rhythms. The synths are good too.

The music on this EP is serving quiet well as a background music while browsing the net. Pretty cool stuff imo. :8=8:

:o

Bit surprised by the response to this to be honest. Not sure if it's just cos I know all the arse-ache that went into it and how I got sick of hearing it all that I've got a bit of a downer on it. At any rate, thanks for listening everyone! 8-) :8=8:

5. Glad it's over.

Brilliantly executed, nice drums, and construction of the tune is bang on, enjoyed 😉
