I meant to make a modular synth EP, but these are way too short to be an EP, more of a mini-P. And instead of music, they're short sonic experiments using some of the weirder ways to make music with my setup. Details are in the description with time codes to jump between the patches.

You've got some really mad sounds coming out of the racks once again. That vocoder-syntish one was my fave.

Thanks! I still enjoy the power of the DAW-based synths, but this mad-science stuff is fun on how open ended it is. Something wants a pulse for a steady clock? Send it something random or even audio and see what happens. This thing makes slow, random control voltages? Crank up the speed and see how it sounds as an audio source. Patch an LFO otput into its own speed control input, why not? It really does make experimentation fun.

And here's an 8th one - running through some sounds on a new module. The "Liquid Foam" is designed as an alternate-universe TB-303, but I wanted it more for filter pings, which is what I'm doing here, just really low notes snacking the filter plus delay/reverb.

Nice synth-farts I mean bursts. Well what I've noticed from your video-clips, is that the sound is really crystal clear and has a big contrast. Actually it seems like the hardware devices produce a better quality than the most software synths do.

Thanks! You do have to watch your speakers with the modular stuff, it's real easy to get real loud, ridiculously low or high as many oscillator modules have a 10 octave range. I do sweeten the output a little with some soft compression when mixing though - and using an 8-input interface lets me separate elements going in so I have more control over the mix in the DAW than I can get with some of the smaller module level knobs.

Your use of delay is intriguing. I've been thinking about using it more just as a way to build rhythmic tracks. I've been using some glitch effects I have but I am getting bored a bit with those.

So I can picture you, shopping at a thrift store for all your accessories, with your hair sticking up at all angles, muttering to yourself "For my synths and videos"
