How much you rely on the intuition when baking music?

Discussion about the actual music making, preparing to write, mix, produce and tweak etc.

How much you rely on the intuition when baking music?

You know, when you just fly and write/play and let your intuition lead you.

It's not always possible to do that in my case, as my mood is not like that in the every single day.

Actually I have forced myself to write many times during the years. But when I feel open, I rely on the intuition.

Sometimes yes. Other times no. I try to use it everytime, but (as you said) it's not possible every day.

Indeed, well if you know what you want to do, then one just tries to transfer the ideas from a vision into the sequencer.
But when one wants to jam and experiment and just having fun, you rely on the intuition side then.
I don't always produce but play without turning it to a song too. Midi-keyboardist as I am.

I have an electric guitar too but have no skills to play it. And I don't seem to be arsed to start learning it.
But yeah, I haven't have no writer's block for years anymore. Lots and lots ideas all the time nowdays. :thumbup2:
