Pre-knowing what a source and a delay-device is in audio

Ok, delay would be easy probably if one would like to pre-know the source + a delay -> in audio.
But that makes me think that maybe even more complex chains could be pre-known too.
Basically taken a still information can be pre-known as an audio, already before you play them back.
