Internet thugs! LoL
I’m a producer yo! I checked his YouTube page. One non- music vid.
Is a literal Industrial Producer even a thing? I don’t think I’ve ever met one.
I know engineers.
I know musicians.
I know Label heads....
And honestly that’s from my club days. I doubt they’d remember me at all! I really should focus on writing a good album ... lolz.
The thread is from a review for a digital synth, that well very nice, well spec’d, good bang for the buck .... didn’t impress me as having a edge to its character. Vanilla ice cream ... but Premium Vanilla.
In the 80’s industrial was made on analog and DIGITAL samplers. And the DX7....
Early 90’s Roland and Korg had some good digital offerings. Late 90’s saw and explosion in digital VA (virtual analog) that blossomed in the 00’s where EVERY industrial act used them.
Just so weird to hear in the 20’s that a Producer is surprised by this. Chief... you know fuck all.

That is the problem when one views themselves as experts. They often fail to understand that there is always someone out there that is better. At the very least has knowledge that the other may not know.
I have been working in my profession for decades. Work I have done has been on the cutting edge of digital mapping/cartography. Some of the databases I have created have been used in supremem court arguments (and won). Yet, I do not know everything there is to know about my profession. I have new fresh out off the farm workers that know things I do not. Failing to understand this concept is the prime example of hubris and is the road to shame.
Perhaps you should define "hubris" to this dude.

Oh, just calling ones self a "producer" is a fucking joke. Unless he has decades of experience in the industry (music not genra) or a degree in audio engineering he is nothing more than a wannabe. Again, saying it does not mean it tis true.
What was that saying? He is so full of shit, his eyes are brown.

One of the things I’ve learned cheffing is that if you have to say to your crew ‘because I’m the Chef’ ... then you’re probably not a good leader.,
As a producer the Product should speak for itself. (Or for the Producer)
It was subtle, not on any test, but every instructor I had at audio school tried to teach lessons on professionalism....

One can be also an indie-producer, which means you're not being a producer in the industry. I think you're a producer if you also work with the other people and work on the audio material by other musicians, composers and vocalists etc.
At the end of the day, let the music speak, that how talented you are.

Maybe by "industrial producer" he meant that he works in a factory.

From an ambient music group. Admin is having a meltdown because a member posted a track with ‘ethnic vibes’’ that didn’t pay due respect to the culture.

Um, I could be considered an ambient artist though not part of that class. But i found the argument somewhat nit picky.Lasagna Pirate wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 11:36 pmThose ambient musicians... you may never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy .... we must be cautious.
Besides, I hate labels.
I'll go off and twist my nose hairs whilst ploting your downfall.
