I’ve only got a few vco’s that need to warm up, DCOs, yes please, and … omg …. VCAs and …… digital samplers. I just want to skronk, don’t have time to wait.

I’m all sorts of filth.

I’ve yet gotten into the habit of recording my analogs and everything else separately….. because if I’m layering things inThe daw their always out of tune.
Yeah tuning an oscillator is a lot twitchier than I ever would have guessed pre-modular. Often I'll use a tuner in the DAW on just the straight output of an oscillator to get it in tune, but then after you patch the raw osc through a few effects and then power it off and on a few times because you didn't finish before recording it, there ain't no way it'll be precise still.

Already making friends.

I’ve get the ‘this sounded way different/better last night’ phenomena. I also have two synths called ‘Driftbox’ …. Random fun.

I guess I missed, well, everything there for a few days, got distracted.
Does the soft ynth not allow saving a new preset? Weird that it wouldn't be the same when you opened it the next day, I've never had that happen with software, and even most (save-able/digital) hardware, only analog hardware stuff that tends to "drift"

Clone Wars begin.

Bad news. This arrived but I got called into work early.
Good news. Chef needed the time to pick up a friend flying in from Mtl…. He’s in a band that used to headline at the festivals I’ve been to. Seen his band numerous times.

Hehe thanks for that info. Yes I was thinking maybe I'll pay for a couple of synth packs I don't mind, it should cost me about $200. Then like you say I can do pretty much everything I want too. I will definitely do my research ..also my latest ditty has dropped and has that synth work I was working on. I'll be putting it up here soon too. Enjoy your drinks, and work.. meh!

Shit’s not going to be for free, they can’t run a company like that. This is why I still don’t mind paying for hardware…. Is it ‘expensive’ ???
Well it works how I expect it to when I want it to … always
*mostly always. So I don’t mind paying a premium (is it though?) for that peace/piece of mind.
The few bits of software synths I have I got specifically for a certain function ( mostly emulations of hardware synths I already own… to use as an editor/librarian) … with the expectation that a harddrive crash or OS update could wipe everything out! (Make backups!)

Honestly…. I’m finding more and more….. as much as I love’New Gear’ /GAS …. These days there are the ‘Only Synth I Need’ experiences/bundles/packages/options …
Meaning: do your research. And PAY for the ONE thing that will do everything you need.

Sounds like you’re using a software synth. Not hardware modular…. Not my thing. My software is from 2006 LoL I do have more modern stuff no it haven’t been recording soft synths in it yet,

I’d say there’s maybe a compressor somewhere …. Hard to diagnose without knowing the whole signal chain innit. (Especially since modular lends itself to tend towards ‘random’)
Which Arturia? I have Pigments, but I’ve only spent about 8 hours on it.
*edit… derp. Also drinking…. And at work…. Analog Lab. Noted. Haven’t used it.

..also I went to go and edit my synth and I got this. Yeah far out, you have to pay for that, really?, all those synth packs are like $70 each, I see what they have done now, free $200 software my ass!! haha. ..just to get you in the door.
Yeah very good business model there, damn it!!
