The Cat in the Hat has not been deemed inappropriate. The Dr Suess estate withdrew 6 books from future publication because of racial stereotyping of characters. They were 6 of his books which were mostly out of print anyways. What the estate mostly did was remove them from lists where other organizations could buy the rights to them and make movies or TV shows out of them. The bulk of his work was unaffected by this. Which none of the right wing news organizations have explained in the reporting on the issue. Might want to find better sources of information for your culture war bullshit!

As I was coming through Louisiana today, I saw a billboard advertisement saying Stormy Daniels would be performing at the Hustler Club in Baton Rouge. Louisiana is one of the most religious and right wing state in the US and advertises famous pornstars on billboards along public roads.

The billboard before it was an anti abortion message and the one after it was a religious message.

Naw, I spend my money on other things besides strip clubs. They are designed to take your money too. I went to a casino in OR the other day. At least in the Casino, I’m allowed to fondle the merchandise. And occasionally I win something. Walked in with 200 in my pocket the other evening and walked out with 500. Been a while though.

The last time I was in a strip club was in Key West about 15 years ago. I was with some friends and I remember watching some guys drop a ton of money. The drinks were watered down and if you touched the girls, there were bouncers who would rough you up, steal what was left of your money and throw you out.

Oh man, I remembered another one from about 25 years ago. A buddy of mine was given tickets for a NASCAR race in NC. We lived in Sebring FL and had spent years going to The 12 Hours of Sebring, which is a sports car race. They run Lemans type cars. Really exotic and interesting racing on a 5 mile enduro track. But we had never been to the red neck races so we decided to go.

We drove up and saw, out in the woods on a back road, an old fashioned country strip club/truck stop/diner/brothel. We went in, sat down, and a ugly naked women walked up to us and asked if we wanted a lap dance, all while scratching her very lush bush. We got the fuck out of there. She had crabs!
